Valentine's Day, trip the The Coast and just lately!

For the weekend of Valentine's Day, Matt and went along with some other couples to Bethel Ridge Retreat. It was in the mountains and just so beautiful. We had a fun and relaxing time with each other and with the other couples.

I love my husband!

View from the back of our cabin.

I wish I had taken pictures of the inside of the cabin...they were beautiful.

This was the whole group of us out to dinner on Valentines Day, treated by Owen and his wife and let me tell you...it was delicious! I had fillet mignon for the very first time...and I'm not sure I could ever go back to a regular stake again. What a treat!

Owen and Aimee...we love them! We spent the night at their beautiful home instead of going straight home from Bethel Ridge and we just loved spending time and talking with them. They also gave us the game Canasta to bring home and we love it!

What a good looking husband I have huh?

OK but really...he is quite a stud...and I just look huge.

The weekend after Valentine's Day, Matt surprised me and took me to the Coast for the night. I'd never been there before. It was such a perfect evening. We got there just in time to watch the sunset on the beach and then we went to Mo's for dinner and had fish and chips. Yum!

Ignore my crazy hair...it was a little windy. I'm 26 weeks along in the picture. Our little guy sure is growing.

So you may be saying to yourself..."Wow, that beach looks so familiar...I swear I've seen it before!"....Well, you probably have. This is the beach that The Goonies was filmed at. 'Hey you guys!" ha ha Pretty cool huh?

We tried to take a picture of ourselves, before we asked someone else to do it.

I love this picture. Isn't the sunset beautiful?

We had fun taking pictures...

There were washed up jelly fish all over the beach! Some were still just barely alive...you could see them moving still.

26 weeks!

Isn't it beautiful?

So as you can see, we had a terrific couple of weekends. Since then, we've been keeping busy with life...and seminary. This past Friday, Matt and I went to see Wicked! He got me tickets for Valentine's Day...he didn't even get help from anyone! Talk about a keeper! ha ha We both thoroughly enjoyed the show. I've been wanting to see it for years and am soooo so grateful I finally got the chance. I had a hard time not joining in and singing along to all the songs...I mouthed along to most of them...I was just so excited. I even thought that the actresses who played Elphaba and Glinda were just as good as Adina Menzel and Kristen Chenowick, who were in the original cast. It was obviously pretty fantastic. We didn't get any pictures that night but I still wanted to past about it. As for this week...our seminary students are taking finals and have late start most of the week so...we only have seminary on Friday! This will definitely be a week for me to get some organizing and baby shopping done! I already cleaned out all my drawers and closet and organized it...what a feat! The refrigerator is next! Then next Monday, I'm going home to NY for 10 days to visit my family. Although I'm going to miss my husband like crazy, I can't wait to go home. What makes the trip even more special is that my sister Kalin is flying out and we're going to drive down to Zanesville, OH to visit my grandparents, along with my twin brother, Dirk and his wife Stefanie. Zanesville is where I was born (and lived the first 7 years of my life) and is sooo special to me, besides the fact that my grandparents live there. Anyway, I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and blog all about my adventure home to Zanesville and NY! By the way, my last post was only a couple of weeks ago...I think that that is pretty amazing for me!
